The Lady of the Mountain Run is Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Tays Special Event Center in Alamogordo, with a half marathon, 10K, 5K and a flat 1 mile fun run. It is a fundraiser for needs-based scholarships for students at NMSU Alamogordo. The race says last year's participation let it invest $13,000 in the NMSU-A scholarship endowment, so every runner and walker is helping a local student.

The race starts and finishes at the Tays Special Event Center, 2235 N. Scenic Dr., on the NMSU Alamogordo campus. Here are the events, start times and current online prices from the race's RunSignup registration page.

How do I sign up, and are there discounts?

Register online through RunSignup or Race Adventures Unlimited until Friday, November 20, or sign up in person at packet pickup that day. Two ways to save:

    • Teams of 4 or more get $5 off per person.
    • The no shirt option takes $10 off any in-person event.

Shirts were guaranteed only for people registered by October 1, so if you sign up now, a shirt is not promised.

    Where is packet pickup?

Packet pickup is Friday, November 20, at the First National Bank atrium, 414 10th St. in Alamogordo. The race website lists 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the RunSignup page lists 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., so plan for the later start. What does this mean if you live here or are moving here?

Races like this are a big part of what makes Alamogordo feel like a hometown. You get a scenic course with mountain views, a crowd of neighbors cheering you on, and a good cause close to home. If you are new here, the 1 mile fun run is an easy way to bring the whole family.
