Here is a map of every business, church, community and organization trick or treat event I have confirmed for 2026, from the Zoo Boo candy trail on Saturday, October 24, to Halloween night on Saturday, October 31. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so there is something nearly every day the week before, and Halloween itself is packed from early afternoon into the evening.

What is happening on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31?
Halloween is the busiest day. Trick or Treat on MainStreet kicks things off downtown from 2 to 4 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church and the White Sands Mall start at 4 p.m., and from 5 p.m. on you can visit the fire stations, the Eagles, and Aristocrat Assisted Living. The Elks Lodge and the Team Familia trunk or treat at Applebee's start at 6 p.m.
If you have little ones, the mall is indoors and well lit, and the Alamogordo Fire Department posted that firefighters will hand out treats at Stations 1, 5 and 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Kids love seeing the trucks up close.
Which trunk or treats are before Halloween?
You do not have to wait until the 31st. La Luz Preschool's trunk or treat is Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, is a big day with Zoo Boo at the Alameda Park Zoo in the morning and Pioneer Bank, Alamo Ford and Desert Suds in the afternoon and evening.
During the week, Casa Arena Healthcare hosts a trunk or treat on Wednesday, October 28, Good Samaritan Society Betty Dare has its fall festival on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30, brings Rustic Health, NMSU Alamogordo's welding department and Otero Federal Credit Union.
Did any events change location?
Yes. The Team Familia trunk or treat that was planned for the Moose Lodge on Florida Avenue has moved to Applebee's at 1355 S White Sands Blvd, still on Saturday, October 31, starting at 6 p.m. The organizers posted the change on Facebook, so the older flyer with the Moose Lodge address is out of date.
