If you love handmade gifts, mark three dates. The Cloudcroft Christmas Market is Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cloudcroft High School gym, with free entry. Small Business Saturday fills downtown Alamogordo on November 28, and the White Sands Mall holds its 4th Annual Christmas Craft and Vendor Fair on Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is the Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce Christmas Market, held the day after Thanksgiving and the Saturday after. The chamber's flyer lists 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 27 and 28 at the Cloudcroft High School gym, with free entry. Cloudcroft is a short drive up US 82, and the village is lovely when it is dressed for the holidays.

Small Business Saturday is November 28 on New York Avenue from 8th Street to 12th Street. The Chamber, Alamogordo MainStreet, the Small Business Development Center and the City of Alamogordo are planning holiday promotions, sales, food trucks, cash prize drawings and photos with Gingy the Gingerbread Man.
