What kind of show is it?

It is a revue, so it strings songs together instead of following one plot. According to 2nd Life Media Alamogordo Town News, it moves from quiet, heartfelt ballads to loud sing-along anthems, the music of a generation raised on bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Paramore. This time the music comes from a live band led by Corey Shumard.

Co-director Amy Bethard said it plainly: “I truly believe there's an emo song for everyone.”

Who is putting on the show?

The show is co-directed by husband and wife Andy and Amy Bethard. Amy says Andy is the emo kid and she is the theater kid, and the show brings their two loves together. Jonece Tallant is the producer, Jordynn Marelich is music director, and Bradley Oliver and Rosie Daffern are the choreographers.

Rebel Performing Arts, which has also performed as Rebel Music Theatre, is one of Alamogordo's newest theater groups. It was founded in 2025 by local theater veterans Rosemary “Rosie” Daffern, Jordynn Marelich and Tabitha Plante. Its mission includes empowering performers and encouraging conversations about mental health through the arts. Earlier shows include A Night of Broadway Revue, Decades in Harmony and The Aux Chronicles.

    How do I get tickets?

Buy them online through the Zeffy ticket page. Town News says the venue is intimate and seating is limited, so buying early is a good idea. Tickets on Zeffy also let you add a donation to support the group.

Why this matters for our arts district
