Alamogordo Christmas Lights Map 2026: Get on the Map

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Is your house decorated? Is your business hosting Santa? Get on the map. This is the Alamogordo Christmas Lights Map for 2026, one page with decorated homes, light displays, tree lightings and Santa events around town, from the Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington Park on Friday, December 4, to Zoobilee at the Alameda Park Zoo on Saturday, December 12. Tap any pin to see the date, time and address, and get directions.

It is early in the season, so right now the map has the community events that are already announced. I will add homes and new events as they come in, all the way through December 31, so bookmark this page and check back.

Where can I see Christmas lights and Santa in Alamogordo this year?

Here is everything I have confirmed so far, in date order.

The tree lighting and Zoobilee dates come from the City of Alamogordo's Special Events page. The city has not posted times yet, and it notes that dates and times can change.

What is happening on Saturday, December 5?

December 5 is the big day, so you can make a whole day of it.

Pizza with Santa runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pizza 9 in the White Sands Mall. According to the event flyer, kids can make their own cheese or pepperoni pizza, take photos with Santa, play mini golf and take home a goodie bag. Kid's tickets are $12 and include one kid's creation pizza, a drink and mini golf. It is a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Alamogordo Noon Club, which supports children in Otero County, and Kiwanis receives 50 percent of the proceeds, including adult orders, so tell the staff you are there for Kiwanis. Volunteers from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library will also be there to help families sign up young children, birth to age five, for free books. The flyer does not say where to buy tickets, so check with Pizza 9 before you go.

Christmas on MainStreet fills downtown from 4 to 9 p.m. Alamogordo MainStreet is bringing favorite Christmas movies to life along New York Avenue this year, with movie-inspired areas, Christmas music, local performances, food, holiday shopping, family activities and Polar Express hot chocolate. Details are on Alamogordo MainStreet's Christmas on MainStreet page, which also has sign-ups for vendors and volunteers.

Is your house decorated? Here is how to get on the map

This year the map includes decorated homes and neighborhood light displays, not just events. If you have gone all out on your house, I would love to share it with the neighbors.

Send me your display through my contact page, or post it in the Discover Alamogordo Facebook group, with:

• The street address
• The dates and hours your lights are on (for example, nightly from December 1, 5 to 10 p.m.)
• A short description, like "walk-through lights synced to music"
• A photo, if you have one
• For homes, a note that you live there and are OK with your address being shown on a public map

Homes appear on the map as "Nightly from [date], [hours]" and show up under every date, with their own pin color and a "Light displays" filter. I list the street address and your description only, never your family's name unless you ask me to. If you ever want your home taken off the map, just tell me and I will remove it.

Are you hosting a holiday event?

Businesses, churches, schools and nonprofits are welcome too. Photos with Santa, pet photos with Santa, breakfast with Santa, tree lightings, caroling, drive-through displays, holiday markets and anything in Alamogordo, Tularosa, La Luz, Cloudcroft or at Holloman that is open to the public can go on the map. Send me the details: the date, time, address, cost and a link to your event page or flyer. I check every event with the host's own page, listing or flyer before I add it.

What else is happening this holiday season?

If you are planning the whole season, my list of Alamogordo holiday events and dates for 2026 has shows and community events through December, and my guide to holiday craft fairs covers gift shopping. Small Business Saturday on November 28 is a fun way to start the season downtown.

This map works the same way as my Alamogordo trick or treat map did in October, so if you used that one, you already know how to tap the pins and filter by date.

What does this mean for neighbors and newcomers?

A Christmas lights drive is one of my favorite ways to get to know a town. If you are new to Alamogordo or just PCSed to Holloman, it is a cozy way to explore different neighborhoods at night and see where you might like to live. My neighborhoods guide is a good next step when you find a street you love.
